The members of the La Veta Fire Protection District have been my good friends and loyal customers for many years, sticking with me through thick and thin when they need embroidered clothing from my regular job. In fact, I just finished running a large box of shirts for them, to be handed out to the members this coming weekend.
Now that the Christmas season is here, I wanted to do a little something for them as a surprise, and a thank you gift for the many years of orders. They have no idea that I played around with the laser and made them a sign to go in their fire station. It’s just simple 22″ x10″ varnished piece of plywood decorated with a metallic gold and black logo that I engraved and cut in my laser. I thought it turned out pretty good, if I do say so myself.
After all, I have the equipment to do it, the skills to pull it all together, and the Christmas Spirit to do something nice for my friends. So today, they were the chosen ones.
