I wanted to try some more of the dimensional carving for an upcoming art show.  For depth, it was only natural to focus on our own Spanish Peaks, also known regionally as the Huajatolla.  From this viewpoint, the West Peak (on the right) is somewhat behind the East Peak, and so the carving could be layered to show that, as well as having the foreground raised to add to the depth effect.

This piece was laser carved and then highlighted with India Ink to add a little color and make the levels more defined.  It took forever, but came out looking just like home!
